Budmouth
Technology College from Weymouth lived up to the promise of
their performance in the first Schools Marine Challenge by
winning Schools Marine II as the sun beat down on a beautiful
day at Roadford Lake in Devon.
Strong
performances in both the Solar and Electric Sections meant
that they had too many points for their main rivals, the rookies
from Oakmead. West Exe finished in third on the back of their
IC Challenge victory; if only they could dominate one of the
other categories the overall title would surely be theirs
for the taking.
All
in all it was a great day by the Lake at Roadford. The weather
got better as the day went on and the enthusiasm of all involved
showed what a great event the Schools Marine Challenge is.
